Victor Frankl once wrote that during his experience in Nazi concentration camps, there was almost nothing the prisoners could find joy in. Often the only thing that could bring a slight feeling of happiness was the sunset.
I'm not saying that the concentration camp can be compared to the quarantine. Of course not. But still, our freedom was limited too, and I often found myself enjoying every sunset even more than before the pandemic...
This quarantine gave me the opportunity to reconnect with my family after 4 years of studies in the UK. Yes, some of my plans were cancelled, but I received so much more instead. I’ve never been in such good relationships with my family and I’ve never thought I would be.

The moral of the story is this: you can waste your time thinking how much the pandemic took away from you. This is always the option. Or you can adopt a different perspective and take control of the situation you’re in at the moment. The choice is yours.
