Me and Wendy decided to continue working on our Maze game. We already slowed the ball when it's going through the maze. We imagine our arcade game can be shown at a game show. With this context in mind, we want to make a game more universal for all the players, not necessarily visually impaired ones.
Hence, our aims for the third project include:
+ Add the sounds for the openings before next class;
+ Add the final sound for the victory part for visually impaired people;
+ Find sound for the victory part that last at least 3 seconds. It could be fun to use popular songs related to victory like "We’re the champions my friend....";
+ Add visual physical indicator of the victory to make game universal for players. We're thinking of using some kind of facial expression our of different LEDs, for example, a smile expression when the player is going through the maze like waiting for the player to win and cheering him up, and a BIG smile when the player is winning;
+A week before presentation get people to play it and receive the feedback;
Wendy also had an idea of using the game to train people with visual impairment on finding the direction to a particular place. So basically people would be able to incorporate the mental map that can make their way to a destination easier. But this is a very different project and I'm hoping that we can develop it in a different class next semester.
