This week lab was aimed at learning about asynchronous serial communication and doing several labs. I spend a lot of time doing that, as the code that was given in the lab didn’t work for me. I asked for the help from the resident Arnab, who write a new code, so it would work for me. So. after some time I was able to draw a graph using the potentiometer. Arnab also answered my questions that I couldn’t get, so I highly recommend asking for his help if you’re confused or just want to express your frustration about PComp.
Arduino sketch, working control app, and the drawing of a graph with the potentiometer
Summary: Unlike other blog posts there’s really few things I could write in this one. I’m still having problems with the second lab aimed at controlling the LED with JavaScript sketch. I understood why it is called serial and asynchronous communication and different ways of encoding the data, such as ASCII and binary ways.
